TenPoint Crossbow Technologies’ recently launched its new Havoc RS440 XERO. The Havoc RS440 XERO is equipped with the new Garmin Xero X1i rangefinding scope to provide exact aiming at any distance for long-range accuracy.
“Our new partnership with Garmin mates the world's most advanced crossbow with the most advanced crossbow sight on the market,” said Rick Bednar, TenPoint CEO. “You’ve never seen a crossbow package like this before - and like our other ACUslide crossbows it offers silent cocking and safe de-cocking.”
The NEW Garmin Xero X1i crossbow scope with a built-in laser rangefinder is the first of its kind.
“Garmin is proud to pioneer the best crossbow aim-ing solution available to hunters today. Xero X1i Crossbow Scope isn’t a step forward; it is a leap forward for crossbow hunters who demand the most out of their hunting systems,” said Dan Bartel, vice president of global consumer sales. “For those wanting the ultimate in crossbow performance, we are excited to work with TenPoint, the leader in cross-bow technology, to provide an integrated Havoc RS440 Xero package.”
The auto-ranging digital scope with 3.5X magnification automatically measures the distance to a target. A single button press lets you range game up to 250-yards away and reflective targets up to 500-yards away.
Precise illuminated aim points automatically adjust for both distance and brightness conditions to allow you to see your target, unobstructed by reticle patterns. The days of “gap-shooting” with multiple aim points are gone, you need merely to range the target by way of the built-in touchpad on the grip and use the single aiming solution provided by the Xero X1i.
The Laser LocateTM waypoint projection feature works with compatible Garmin devices (sold separately) to show you exactly where the target was located when the shot or range was taken, so you can better track game or find bolts. The scope also allows you to create custom bolt profiles with unique aim point stacks for each setup, while its Target Lock and Steady Shot features assist with ranging and aim-ing performance to help improve accuracy.
The Havoc RS440’s NEW ultra-light, two-piece TEC-TACTICAL stock is custom built to fit the Xero X1i – fea-turing a built-in range button in the pistol grip that allows the shooter to aim and range without removing their hand from the grips, as well as a custom pocket below the trigger box that integrates the scope’s trigger cable into the stock to prevent snagging. In addition, the new stock features a tactical-styled butt stock, as well as a custom elevated cheek- piece for perfect eye-level alignment and a 1-inch adjustable butt plate for length-of-pull adjustment. It also includes a hollow pocket that houses the ACU-slide cocking and de-cocking system.
The ACUslide features the Auto-Brake Gear System, which allows for silent cocking and safe and controlled de-cocking of the crossbow. The Auto- Brake Gear System eliminates the potential of losing control which can lead to injury or costly bow damage during the de-cocking process. While de-cocking with the ACUslide, the user can remove their hand from the handle at any point, with no other action required - and the handle will stop in place. The 6-inch XTEND Adjustable Crank Handle reduces cocking effort to 5-pounds and stores securely into the butt-stock.
This crossbow’s reduction in length to just 26.5 inches overall is accomplished with the development of TenPoint’s new16-inch MICRO-TRAC barrel. The fluted aluminum barrel reduces the flight deck surface by 50% – increasing accuracy and providing string life in excess of 1,000 shots, says Ten Point.
The Havoc RS440 features a reverse-draw bow assem-bly that draws the string through the riser, creating a 13.5-inch power stroke. The increased power stroke generates more speed with less draw weight – creating a smoother, quieter shot. The elongated power stroke also keeps the arrow nock engaged with the string before release – this is a critical component in performance, as the longer the nock remains engaged with the string, the more accurate the crossbow will shoot.
Ten Point says their cam system rotates 360-degrees to produce speeds of 440 feet-per-second. The Vector-Quad cable technology utilizes four cables instead of the traditional two, which eliminates cam lean and generates straight- nock travel leading to same-hole downrange accuracy.
The crossbow measures only 26.5-inches (w/o stirrup) long, 7.5-inches wide, and shoots a 440 feet-per-second with the included 400-grain arrow EVO-X CenterPunch 16 carbon arrow. Unlike competitors short crossbows using 20-inch arrows that hang over the front of the bow by 2-3-inches, the CenterPunch16 16-inch arrow is a perfect length for the 26.5-inch long Havoc RS440 Xero.
The Havoc RS440 XERO comes with the new EVO-X CenterPunch 16 carbon arrows. The 16-inch arrows weigh 400-grains and feature 17.5% FOC. Each arrow is inspected for straightness to within .001-inch and each package is weight-grain matched to within 1 grain per arrow.
Decorated in Veil Alpine camo, the Havoc RS440 XERO ships completely assembled and includes a ready-to-hunt package.
The package includes:
• ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system
• Garmin XERO X1i Rangefinding Scope
• 6-pack of EVO-X 16 CenterPunch Premium Carbon Crossbow Arrows (.001” straightness, 400-grains)
• Integrated String Stop System
